Articles, case studies, profiles, fact sheets, stories, resource kits, brochures, media releases, websites, CDs and DVD scripts...
- Stories—interviewed and wrote stories about families caring for children with severe disabilities or medical conditions for The Carers Storybook (Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs).
- Media materials—drafted numerous government and non-government media releases and background information. Examples include the media release and fact sheet announcing the addition of Bondi Beach to the National Heritage List (Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts), background information for the 25th anniversary of the Australian Federal Police, and various media releases for PSMA Australia, such as the launch of Lynx, the next generation in spatial data management.
- Profiles—researched and wrote profiles on women in policing, to assist the Australian Federal Police recruit more women.
- DIY marketing kit—developed comprehensive DIY marketing kit for managers of Disability Business Services. The project involved researching and tailoring a range of marketing information to suit this audience. The user-friendly kit includes overview information and some 30 tools such as how to guides, checklists, templates, tips and case studies. Client response and user testing was overwhelmingly positive (Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs).
- Corporate brochures—researched and wrote brochures about various topics, such as the Australian Federal Police Leadership in Criminal Intelligence Program, its International Network, and the Culture and Language Centre; and different business divisions in the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.
- Monographs—reviewed available information and wrote several monographs about Australian war heroes to commemorate the naming of housing developments, such as the Grace Wilson Estate in Brisbane. Client feedback was very positive and indicated that the monographs were well received (Defence Housing Australia).
- National resource kit—researched and wrote a national resource kit aimed at increasing the participation of women on boards. This included researching and adapting available information to create a one-stop, national resource kit for three different audiences: women considering joining a board; women ready to move up to the next level; and people responsible for board appointments (Office for Women).
- Website—reviewed, restructured and re-wrote the Australian Federal Police recruitment web pages.
- Staff toolkit—researched and developed content for a toolkit for public affairs staff, covering APS-wide requirements such as privacy and copyright. Presented information so it was relevant, engaging, clear and concise. Received very positive client feedback (Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government).
- Commonwealth Games articles and fact sheets—researched and wrote fact sheets and articles for regional newspapers about different aspects of the Australian Government’s support for the Games. Topics included Australian Government support, the Queen’s Baton Relay, security, the volunteer program, elite athletes with a disability, technical officials and the cultural program (M2006 Taskforce).
- Maritime security brochures and articles—researched and wrote articles and brochures about changes to Australia’s maritime security legislation, targeted to specific audiences including maritime workers, anglers, transport workers and boating enthusiasts (Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government).
- Journal articles—researched and wrote various articles, such as for the Australian Federal Police journal Platypus (e.g. ‘The Missing Link—integrating forensics and investigations’), AFPNews, the National Film and Sound Archive's former journal On the wire and the former Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts’ journal, Artbeat (e.g. ‘Realising the Dream—35 years of the Australian Ballet School’ and ‘For the love of the land—the Boyds and Bundanon’).
- Marketing materials—edited and managed design and production of letterhead and an information brochure for Buteyko Breathing Solutions. Developed marketing/capability brochures and web pages for Ball Solutions Group. Wrote and managed design and production of marketing brochures, newspaper ads and fact sheets for MaximusSolutions Australia.
- CD-ROM and DVD—assisted with scripting and production of information/marketing CD-ROM and a product launch DVD for PSMA Australia, a leading source of spatial mapping data.
- Video script—developed a script for a presentation video on the history of quarrying for the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Quarrying in Australia.

- Quality Strategy Toolkit for Disability Employment (Department of Families, Housing Community Services and Indigenous Affairs).
- National Strategy for Increased Participation of Women on Boards—edited/rewrote strategy into a short, brochure-style version for wider distribution (Office for Women).
- Note for file, the Management Advisory Committee report on record keeping and records management within the Australian Public Service (also drafted a short summary flyer to highlight key points); and the Building better governance report which provides guidelines on governance within the Australian Public Service (Australian Public Service Commission).
- Australian Government Regional Information Directory 2007 (Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government).
- Australian Federal Police recruitment web pages (also involved writing content), Diversity in the AFP booklet, and a Request for Tender document for technical services.

- Complaint Investigation Guidelines—reviewed, restructured and edited/re-wrote to create a more user-friendly online resource for staff (Commonwealth Ombudsman).
- Regional Business Development Analysis Action Plan—provided editing and writing services for this national action plan for regional business growth in Australia (former Department of Transport and Regional Services).
- International Federation of Interior Designers and Architects Year Book 2002—provided editing and writing services for this publication, which profiles design projects from around the globe.
Strategies and project management
Communication and marketing strategies, issues management plans, business plans, communication audits, editorial advice...
- National media events—project managed media and events for several months of the voyage of the authentic replica of the Dutch 'jacht' Duyfken. Sponsored by the Australian Government through the then Department of the Environment and Heritage, the voyage commemorated the 400th anniversary of the first documented European contact with Australia.
- Marketing strategy—developed a marketing and communications strategy for an ACT government-owned business.
- Issues management plans—researched and developed an issues management/stakeholder consultation plan covering complex and sometimes sensitive issues related to heritage protection reforms. Developed issues management plans for two government agencies so they were prepared to handle potential media and stakeholder interest in a redevelopment project and an asbestos-related issue.
- Comprehensive communication plan—researched and developed a comprehensive communication plan for the construction of the National Portrait Gallery (for the Department of Finance, which is managing the construction project).
- Media strategy—developed a media strategy and protocols for a high profile Australian Government agency to ensure a strategic approach to media liaison, both when reacting to media interest and when generating media coverage.
- Article placement strategy—researched, developed and implemented a national article placement strategy for stories about the Australian Government’s support for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
- Marketing program—developed and updated annual marketing programs, and provided ongoing advice and assistance with marketing activities for PSMA Australia Limited, Australia’s leading source of spatial mapping data.
- Product launch—develop launch strategy and helped organise the event, including developing a media strategy and video to promote a new national database of Australian street addresses and associated geocodes.
- e-Australia CD-ROM—scripted and project-managed development of multimedia CD-ROM presentation promoting Australia as a prime investment location for the global information and communications technology industry. Produced to a tight deadline, the CD received positive client comments and was reprinted (then Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts).
- Communication audit—conducted communications audit for a national medical professional association, including providing strategic advice and comprehensive media and public affairs services.
- Editorial process—edited several government journals/newsletters including developing story lists, commissioning articles, editing contributions, researching and writing articles, and managing design, printing and distribution.
- Business plan—helped write a business plan for an ACT government-owned business.
